This is a step by step of How to fix Windows 7 Black screen of death after logging in. The Black screen problems have already affected millions on Windows 7, Vista and XP.
The problem occur after login and no desktop show up, just a black screen and my computer folder shows up. So your still able to navigate around, because my computer folder shows up with a black screen in the background.
Black Screen Fix
Press the CTRL, ALT and DEL keys at the same time
Click Start Task Manager
In Task Manager Click on the Application Tab
Next Click New Task
Enter the command: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
When the browser pops up, enter this: http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?GRAB=BLACKSCREENFIX
It then will ask you to download a black screen fix program and will ask you to reboot your computer. It should then login normally with the desktop active again. Note: Most will be fix, but some won’t be fix.
